1976 Lamborghini Countach LP400

Sackey & Co. | Private Sales is proud to report our sale of this beautifully restored, concours-winning 1976 Lamborghini Countach LP400 ‘Periscopio’, with only 8,881-miles (14,293 km) from new.

1120220, finished in its original beautiful livery of Bleu Tahiti metallizzato over Senape, was released by the factory on October 18th, 1976 to LamborAuto in Milan, Italy, a concessionaire appointed by Ferruccio Lamborghini himself which often supplied Countaches to VIPs, Royalty, heirs, celebrities and sportsmen. After spending a brief period in Japan, the car was then imported into the USA in 1981, where it was owned by the same California gentleman for 41 years!

This example benefits from a complete nut & bolt restoration (chassis, body, wheels, interior, engine, suspension, etc.) at cost of around $350,000. The restoration resulted in a recent Class Winner trophy at the Las Vegas Concours D'Elegance, and the car was also featured in the Lamborghini factory-sanctioned documentary on the Countach titled "Countach Legacy”.

The Countach is today considered to be the genesis of the modern Supercar. Few examples combine this level of restoration, outstanding color combination, and long-term ownership history.
