1986 Lamborghini Countach QV Downdraft

Stunning matching-numbers 1986 Lamborghini Countach QV Downdraft finished in its original stunning livery of Rosso Siviglia (Seville Red PPG 2.464.022) over Pelle Bianco.

After completion at Lamborghini in Sant'Agata Bolognese on December 12th, 1985, this example was delivered to Switzerland for Swiss concessionaire Codeco SA in Lausanne and Swiss-registered on Bern plates BE 366 U. After just two owners in Switzerland over 28 years, the car was imported to the USA in 2014.

In 2017, this Countach was sent to marque specialist Dugan Specialties for a complete mechanical overhaul which included a suspension rebuild, brakes rebuild, major engine-out overhaul & service, and all other mechanicals and electrics. Despite the mechanical overhaul, the car retained its original paint and interior.

This example represents the vertical twin-barrel carburetor version of the Countach, affectionately known by enthusiasts today as the Countach ‘Downdraft.’ The Downdraft is the most powerful production variant of the Countach built by the Lamborghini factory, and it’s the only Countach variant Lamborghini submitted for FIA Homologation (Group B # 291). Just over 300 of these automotive icons were built by Nuova Automobile Lamborghini SpA, and this example represents one of the very best remaining today.
